About the Course


The module is a standard introduction to a number of the key theories of supervision. It presupposes no before knowledge of the topic by pupils. The training course commences simply by introducing individuals theories that are employed in the management of people in organization's and progresses to ultimately address individuals most relevant for an organizational level of analysis.

As management and its many ingredient theories have such an influence upon all of our lives, the course motivates students to critically reveal upon these kinds of theories and more especially regarding the practice of administration. It is not enough for students of management to merely " know” a theory. They must understand the effects of their use in practice. Hence, critical thinking can be an underlying " theme” in the module. Desired learning effects

At the end from the module students should be able to:

Appreciate the ambiguity and complexity natural in the practice (and theory) of managing

Articulate a few of the historical and contemporary issues and discussions addressed by simply and encountered by administration

Describe, compare and contrast and, eventually, evaluate the various theories and concepts of management that you have recently been introduced electronic. g. command, teamwork, efficiency culture, etc .

Understand the significance of critical pondering and to put it on to any theory and practice of management that you may eventually encounter Contact Hours and Student Workload
